A Bit About Me
I have always loved working with young children and watching them bloom! In high school, I began my journey in education by taking several childhood development classes, along with working in our school's daycare.
I attended Brigham Young University where I received my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. Throughout college, I had the opportunity to work in BYU's preschool and kindergarten, where I developed my love for teaching.

I taught my own class of first graders for 3 years and kindergarteners for 1. While teaching, I was able to receive my masters degree in curriculum and instruction from Western Governors University. This helped me refine my skills in creating curriculum that meets children where they are at and pushes them to new limits!

As a teacher, it always broke my heart watching children fall through the cracks despite my best efforts. Time and time again, public education failed the struggling readers in my classroom. This is when I reached out to my husband's aunt who introduced me to the Barton Reading and Spelling System. She had used this program to help many dyslexic children learn to read! She has given me the tools and knowledge to do the same for children within Saratoga Springs, UT! I love helping children develop a confidence and love for reading! I believe that every child has a bright future ahead and can unlock it with the right tools! I believe in meeting children where they are at and helping them discover their full potential! Struggling to read and Dyslexia is not a negative thing, it's just a different way of thinking!
